Hi, my name is John. I am a vet working on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula south-east of Melbourne, Australia. This site is based around both my veterinary practice and the clinical trial I am conducting on a revolutionary equine wound healing substance produced by the Animal Care Division of Claire Ellen Topicals in North America.
I have been working on a clinical study to assess the efficacy of an equine wound healing product within my practice. Wounds on horses are often slow to heal, especially any below the hock or carpus where the blood supply is limiting.
Wound Categories are:
1. mild (grazes or scratches, not full skin thickness)
2. moderate (full skin thickness exposing the subcutaneous layer without loss of tissue)
3. severe (full skin thickness exposing the subcutus and deeper tissues with loss of tissue/tissue degeneration from damage to the circulation in the area)
